Special Utensil Stand
Cultural Heritage/Japan Heritage
These earthenware vessels were used for funerary festivals in the Kibi region during the Yayoi period. They have special patterns that tell us about the distinctive culture of Kibi during that era. They have been unearthed at the Tatetsuki Ruins and Koikui-jinja Shrine, and they are believed to be the forerunners of the cylindrical haniwa figurines.
