Okayama Castle
Historic Site/Cultural Heritage
Hideie Ukita, one of the five Tairo (chief ministers) for the Toyotomi family built the castle. It is also called Ujo (literally "Crow Castle) due to its black shitami-itabari style. In the keep, you can experience Bizen-yaki clay kneading and wear a kimono. We also recommend the tea parlor, which serves fruit parfaits.
